Share the Wealth Blog Candy

(Hopefully this will stay at the top until Sunday, so you'll have to scroll down for newer posts.)

I passed 30,000 hits on this l'il ole blog! Can you believe it? It gives me the warm fuzzies.

AND, I am so stoked about my design team gig with Verve Visual. <---That's the Design Team page. Julee will be having the grand opening on August 1st. I can't wait to see my stuff on a real manufacturer's site. WooHoo!

AND, I made my own blog banner! It's the first thing I've made with my Photoshop Elements 5.0. I used a free kit from Shabby Princess called Sun Porch by Amy Teets and a font called Bleeding Cowboys downloaded from Scrapbook Village. I'm sure it's not much to most of you, but I'm just thrilled with my little creation.
ETA: Well, it seems my blog banner could be considered in violation of Shabby Princess's terms of service. Figured my first Photoshop experience was just going too smoothly. I do thank the person who kindly pointed it out though. So, I'm back to one Amy Westerman made for me when I started my blog, which is quite purdee.

AND, I just love y'all! Thanks so much for stopping by.

So, here it is. I'm sharin' the wealth of a recent online shopping excursion. Up for grabs is:
*12 sheets (6x6) Making Memories Boho Chic embellishment paper (two each of six designs)
*1 package Basic Grey [un]dressed chipboard mini monograms
*1/2 package (approximately) Quick Pick Hydrangea Strawberry Primas
*1/2 package (approximately) Carribean Collections St. Martin Primas
*4 Heidi Swapp ghost shapes flowers
*1 Studio G clear stamp set

U.S. and Canada only please, due to shipping costs. So sorry. Only one comment per person. Thanks!

Just leave me any comment you'd like. If you prefer a topic for discussion (as I do on blog candy posts), let me know if you scrapbook. Hands-on or digital, or a bit of both? What do you scrap? Any scrapping info you feel like sharing is fine by me. I'll do the online random number choosing thing on Sunday night and post the winner by Monday.

Congrats on all the hits!

I'm more a card maker than a scrapbooker - I like the books to be about the photos, so I don't tend to embellish very much.

Congrats on the number of visits. I have been a scrapbooker for years and only ventured into stamping a few years ago. I do three books for every year, one for my family album and one for each of my children. Oh, and I do it the old fashioned way, I haven't really tried digital yet.

I do LOTS of scrapbooking. I am one of those people who scrapbooks every single picture! It's an obsession...
Congrats on the hits! I adore your blog.

Congrats on the hits! I scrapbook, hands on, but I do want to try digital eventually. I have a son and a daughter, so that is what I scrap, all their events in life.

Erica Payne said...

I do scrapbook, but not the digital kind. I think that takes the fun out of it. JMO. I scrap for my 3 sons. They each have the number of albums per their age: 8,5,2. I've fallen a little behind so my goal for the next few weeks is 5 layouts per week. I'll be posting one each day. YOu do great work BTW.

Congratulations. I do scarpbook some, do a book a year for my niece.

Great job! I love your blog and am happy when you are on my google reader in the morning!
I have been scrapbooking for 10 years and stamping for 5. I recently took a job teaching scrapbooking at Michaels.
I hope to reach 30,00 someday! Maybe even more! LOL! Keep up the great work!

Awesome banner! I scrapbook...only paper though. No digi for me yet. My themes include vacations and my daughter. But can you believe that I'm actually running out of photos to scrap? So now I'm doing lots of misc. layouts...my friends, family, college, high school. Thanks!

Congrats on the hits. Easy to see why. I both scrap and card making. I actually scrap every picture I take. I just recently started to add my card making supplies into my scrapbooking.(stamps, ribbon, brads ect.) Before I just used CM short cuts and stickers. I must say it is way more fun now. Thanks for the chance to win your blog candy!

Amy said...

I've never scrapbooked for myself. On occasion I've made small scrapbooks as gifts for friends. I've never had much interest in going digital, though. I spend too much time on the computer at work; the last thing I want to do for a hobby is stare at the computer screen even more.

Congrats on hitting 30K!

Anonymous said...

Congratulations, how exciting. I have just done hands on scrapbooking. I like to be able to touch and move everything before making a final decision. Sometimes it goes together easy and sometimes it takes awhile to be happy with a page.

Peggy Maier said...

I used to scrapbook, but being too much of a perfectionist it wasn't much fun. I'm into cardmaking now & I think I found my niche!

Melissa said...

Congrats on the hits!

I'm a hands-on kind of scrapper and don't make time to do it nearly often enough!

Nancy Riley said...

Thank you for the opportunity to win you awesome blog candy! I am a scrapbooker from way back, but since I've discovered cardmaking, the scrapbooking has taken a back seat. I have great intentions, and keep my photos organized for future scrapbooking sessions. I have talked to alot of people about digital scrapbooking and find it quite interesting.

Kathy W said...

Congrats on all your blog hits! I am trying to get back into scrapbooking--hands on (maybe someday digital but I'm pretty kinesthetic so I like manipulating paper, photos, embellies, etc. by touch). Right now I'm retrieving photos from old, harmful albums and cataloging them for future scrapping. Feels good to get this process rolling. Thanks for the chance to win such generous blog candy.

I love scrapbooking...I recently finished an album from a trip my daughters and I took with their high school band to California. We went to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Hollywood Blvd and Huntington Beach. The trip was only 4 days, but we ended up with 65 pages in our scrapbook from our trip.

Linda SS said...

I generally make cards, but have dabbled in scrapbook pages and would love to get good enough to scrap an album for my little grandkids:) I'm a computer dunce & still haven't figured out how to create a blog, much less digital scrap. So my scrapbook will be by hand.

Great job on your blog. No wonder you've surpassed 30K. I've always had a passion for paper arts, but am relatively new to stamping. Haven't done the scrapping yet. I'd love to hear more about your experiences with PhotoShop. I'm teaching myself and sure have fun erasing people! I can be reached at ceadmile00@msn.com. Thanks for the chance to play.

30,000 hits - Wow! Congrats to you, every hit is well deserved! I started out scrapbooking and moved to cardmaking when I was stressed out about getting too far behind in scrapbooking. I know I'll get back to it eventually but for now I like the instant gratification of cardmaking. Great banner btw, I can't quite figure that part out, especially how to scale down the papers for a banner.

Holly Jordan said...

Congrats on all of the hits!!! Your blog is fabulous and I love your new banner, super cool, that font is awesome! I am a scrapbooker turned stamper and love to stamp in my scrapbooks as well. Currently trying to get some scrappin' done and organized, YIKES!!! So many pictures so little time.

Wow congrats on the visitors. That's great. I also really like your banner, and am so jealous. I have been trying to get into digi-scrapping and just don't seem to have the patience or the know how to figure out Photoshop elements 5. Grrrrrr Hopefully some day it will all come together!

Congrats on the hits - 30K is fabulous! You are loved! As for scrapbooking, I did before my second child was born but haven't in two years. But after this weekend, I went to a scrap convention, I am setting a goal for myself - at least 4 pages a week. I like to do the hands on kind, not digital, although it might be cheaper :-) P.S. can't wait to see everyone's work on Verve!

Such a shame that you had to take you blog banner down. Stinky. Funny they won't let you use the kigi kit for your banner as long as proper credit is given. Seems it would send more people to their site who might buy kits. JMHO.
