Bouquet Chick

I've had this image (Bouquet from American Art Stamp) sitting on my desk already colored for probably a month or so. I decided today was the day to turn it into a card. It was a Wish RAK image somebody sent to me, so I don't know the ink, and I can't even remember what I used to color it. Looks like water coloring with ink and a bit of Copics mixed in too. Hmm, go figure. I thought this sentiment went well with the happy go lucky stick chick. "Wishing You the Happiest of Days" from an older Verve Stamps set called Wonderful Wishes. You can always click the picture for a larger view if you'd like.Stamps- Bouquet (American Art Stamp by Karen Stolper), Wonderful Wishes (Verve)
Paper- DCWV Nana's Nursery, white, Core'dinations in meadow, crabgrass, in the pink, amaryllis
Ink- black (VersaFine)
Accessories- PTI spring moss grosgrain, SU slot punch, Spellbinders Labels 1 die, prima flowers, button, thread, lime green Stickles

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I
plan to get off to a good start. The past couple of days I've been mowing the lawn and scrubbing our deck and patio furniture with bleach and a scrub brush. And now I'm SORE. So I'm heading off to the spa to use a gift certificate from some friends for a massage. My very favorite treat!

Versatile Mojo

I am just having so much fun with my stress-free, stamp-if-I-want-to projects. Here's today's card using this week's Mojo Monday sketch and last year's Papertrey Ink anniversary set, Simple Little Things. After stamping in Sea Breeze, and letting it dry a bit, I went back in and colored some of the dots with a chocolate chip marker. I'll add a dark chocolate sentiment to the bottom when I know what I need to use it for. So versatile! Baby, sympathy, anniversary, thank you, just about anything. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I just love hearing from you all.
stamps- simple little things (PTI)
paper- vintage cream, aqua mist, spring moss, everyday blessings (PTI), cocoa (SU!)
ink- sea breeze (versamagic), chocolate chip (SU!)

Check out my new look!

It took like ten minutes and I love it. But maybe all the polka dots are a little hard on the eyes? Let me know what you think.

CPS117 Springtini

I've really been having fun, picking away at cards lately, getting back into the swing of things. Slow and steady, huh? I started this one last night and finished it up this morning. Ink- close to cocoa
Accessories- oval punch, liquid pearls, flower bouquet die by Sizzix, button and thread, American Crafts ribbon, Copics, Spica glitter pen, sponge, white gel pen, dimensionals

Another Quickie

A little quickie I got done last week. I left the sentiment off so I can add whatever when I'm ready to use it. I've been finding that useful lately.
Paper-white, so saffron, Urban Prairie (Basic Grey)
Accessories- Copics, urban prairie button, labels one dies, SU! grosgrain, parisian ek success punch, dimensionals
Non-stamping related:

I hope you all enjoyed your long weekends, those of you lucky enough to have such. I had a blast at Myrtle Beach. The weather was just perfect. Us girls spent the days at the beach while the guys were golfing. We also found a few restaurants that I would highly recommend. Bonefish is a chain and LeGrand's is just a local place I think. It was pricey, but we went for happy hour which is a great deal ($5 martinis and $3.50 appetizers). I highly suggest the mintini (chocolate mint) for dessert, and the albinotini and alaskan chocolate were also tasty. And the Penguins won both of their hockey games, which we watched at Overtime sports bar. Some much needed relaxation and fun. I loved it.

So Cute!

I should be on my way to Myrtle Beach by now. We're driving, so I won't be there until late this afternoon. But we made sure we'll be there in time to find a place to watch the Penguins hockey game. Woot!
This image is from a Stampin' Up! set, Big on Spring. I think it was only in one mini catalog, but I got some images a while back through Splitcoast's wish RAK. I have quite a few stamped images sitting around that I finally pulled out and started coloring. This is colored with Stampin' Up! markers. I used a second image to color and pop up the little onesie. I glittered the letters with star dust Stickles. And I did the little button-on-a-bow that I've been seeing everywhere. I must agree, it's totally cute! I don't think you can see, but the DCWV animal paper is glittered too.

Love You

Yep, it's my fave butterfly punch again (Martha Stewart). I've seen people using a three butterfly punch. I think it's from her too, so I'm on the lookout.

Some squares of Basic Grey's Urban Prairie mix with my fave punch and a strong Papertrey Ink font (Paper Tray) for this clean and simple design. Also: american crafts ribbon, PTI white and SU cool caribbean, barely banana, certainly celery, black card stock, versafine onyx black ink, heidi swapp jewels

A Little Something

Yes, I actually made a card. Last week actually, and I just now got a decent picture of it and am posting. I used last week's Fall-To Layout #41 from the Clean & Simple Stamping blog. I love their layouts for quick, easy, classy cards. I changed the circles to rectangles, but I think I followed the rules otherwise. The colors are very vanilla, kiwi kiss, soft sky and basic gray, and the stamp set is Pocket Silhouettes (all Stampin' Up!). I think I've had this set for a year and this is the first time I've used it. Isn't it so classy, fun and best of all...SIMPLE!?! And that's my ever present Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

Hugs to you all. I'll be leaving Thursday morning for a long weekend at Myrtle Beach with Josh and some friends, but I actually have two more cards that I made over the past month or two. I'll pre-set a couple of quickie posts. Just so you know I have stamped, even if it's been just a wee little bit. HUGS! And thanks for your kind well wishes and sympathy. They mean more than you could know.

Where I've Been

I've had a few people wondering where/ how I've been. And a few unsubscribers. No wonder since I haven't been posting for quite a while. The reason is that my mother's health had been progressively failing to the point that we knew the cancer was winning. So I've been spending most of my time staying at my parents' house, just stopping home every few days to repack my bags and say hi to my husband. My mother has finally found rest, as she passed away this Monday evening. Our family is certainly grieving, but we are pulling together, leaning on each other, and continuing on. I love her so much and will miss her, but can only hope now to cherish her memories and learn from her example. Not to get religous on you, but I look forward to the fullfillment of our Bible hope, that we will one day all be together with her again. Thanks for your concern. It may be a while until I feel like posting again. Just so you know, I have been briefly stopping by all your blogs still. Thanks for being there.
