It's Not All Black and White

Simple, Serene, and FINISHED!

I needed a few sympathy cards quickly. I really should have some of these on hand. We never want to make them when we need them it seems. I also made two others that I'll share with you tomorrow.

I stamped the flowers several times with Always Artichoke on River Rock card stock. Color the flowers with a white Sakura glaze pen. (This takes a few minutes to dry.) Draw light shadows in Sahara Sand around the stems. Stamp the background (Paisley) in Sahara Sand on River Rock. Stamp sentiment on vellum card stock using black StazOn and attach with brads.

Tah Dah. Simple, serene, and most importantly -- FINISHED!

Because the card is so dark, I layered some Paper Accents pearlized white text weight paper inside for the sentiment and my own message.

What's In It?
Stamps: Close as a Memory; Oh, So Lovely (Stampin' Up!)
Paper: Basic black, vellum card stock, always artichoke, river rock (SU!); Pearlized white text weight (Paper Accents)
Ink: Black (StazOn); artichoke, sahara sand (SU!)
Accessories: vintage brads (SU!); white pen (Sakura)

Bethany this is stunning. I love the colors and the combo of the flowers with the white pen accents. The white insert inside is a nice finishing touch too. Beautiful.

This is a LOVELY card Bethany! It's always hard to make them when you need them. I agree, I try to keep a couple on hand. I really like how you added the cardstock and sentiment to the inside of the card. Looks very professional! Beautiful!

That is the most perfect Sympathy card I've seen. No one likes to make these cards but I'm sure the recipient will appreciate it.

So beautiful and serene. Lovely for a sympathy card. I need to make up a few of these, too. I had one spare and someone bought it.

Wow, I love these cards along with your top post ones so much. There is no business going on, just simple elegance. I hope you don't mind if I case these, for my craft fair projects, these are just so beautiful.
