I have wanted this Whipper Snapper Hooked Worm stamp for years, literally. And, no, I still haven't bought it. LOL. But I did get some stamped images from the Wish RAK group at Splitcoast. Woo Hoo. I was seriously excited. So I colored this last night with my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol, and put the card together this morning. I'll take it to my mom when I go to visit this evening. Hopefully she'll get a smile out of it.
I layered the image on papers from the Cutie Pie series by Stampin' Up! (Also from Wish RAK! What amazing ladies involved in that group. I'm loving it.) The sentiment is from an old, retired Stampin' Up set, Mini Mates. I've kept it all these years because there are so many versatile sentiments, and I like the small sizes. The smaller blue dots are punched from Bashful Blue card stock and covered in Crystal Effects. You can't really see it in the picture, but I also added Crystal Effects to the hook and a few air bubbles coming up from the worm to the blue dots.
Does anyone know of anything better than Crystal Effects? It looks wonderful, but my bottle is forever clogged no matter what I do. Something like Stickles, but non-glittery.
Stamps: Hooked Worm (Whipper Snapper); sentiment-Mini Mates (SU retired)
Paper: wild wasabi, ballet blue, bashful blue, Cutie Pie (SU); white (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: ballet blue (SU); black
Accessories: prismacolor pencils and gamsol; dimensionals; 1/8, 1/2, 1, and 1-1/4 inch circle punches; Crystal Effects, red grosgrain ribbon (SU)

This card is just adorable. I love your coloring!!!
I have the same problem with my CE... I think I'm going to try Ranger's Glossy Accents. The bottle is big, but the nozzle is tiny like Stickles. I have the matte, but haven't used it yet so I can't testify for sure :)
Your card is TOO CUTE by the way!!
Oh how adorable, Bethany! I LOVE the blue you put around the worm and line. . .great coloring!
Bethany: Your card is so sweet. I'm sure it'll bring a smile to your Mom's face.
I've always used Alene's Paper Glaze and have never had a clogging problem. Joann's sells it for a really good price.
Take care - Regina Davis
this worm is too cute, love Whipper Snapper stamps and love this card, as always your coloring is fantastic.
This is adorable!! Your coloring is fantastic!!
This is just adorable! Too stinkin cute!
That little worm is adorable and I love the bubbles!
About the CE - have you tried leaving a straight pin in the top? I just recently got the idea and my CE worked the last time I used it!
Bethany! This is totally adorable!!! Fantastic colouring and layout! Your Mom is sure to love it too!
I used Glossy Accents today on a card I did. It does clog a bit too. I don't know how to stop that...it's annoying and I always have to use a pin to unclog...total bummer!
oh, this is so stinkin' adorable - what a cute stamp!! Your coloring is awesome, the whole card is fabulous!!
Sorry, I swear by my crystal effects...I have never had a clogging problem but I do make the hole a little bigger as soon as I open it - HTH!
*STAMPIN HUGS* Alex
Such a cute card - love your coloring! I use Diamond Glaze - it's pretty much identical to Crystal Effects but for whatever reason it doesn't clog on me - my CE were forever clogging too.
Love this - especially how you made the worm look like he's under water and the bobber at the top! Came over to visit from SCS... now I am going to check out the rest of your blog....
I love whippersnapper images! They're so cute...you did a wonderful job with this one. I think it would make anyone smile =)
so cute - love the message!
Adorable! I love the worm and have been eyeing him for sometime. Don't you just love whipper snapper stamps!
This is adorable! I bet it did make your Mom feel better. I used CE today, and was thinking the same thing. Frustrating!
Oh! So darn cute! Whipper Snapper has some of the most fun images. Fabulous coloring. This is a perfect card to cheer up your Mom. Funny, I just finally unclogged my CE bottle today. It's working great now but I don't know how long it'll last.
