It actually felt like spring yesterday! I even worked in my gardens (and I use that term loosely). Not long though, since it was so windy that everything I tried to clean up just blew around my yard.
I REALLY liked this sketch Jen posted way back on March 22, and it's been on my mind ever since. Well, I finally used it. I think it's really crisp and clean, allowing for a lot of open background, which I like. Perfect for SPRING! And that paired up so well with these Lizzie Anne stamps, called Jolies Fleurs. And since I was kicking the spring theme, this color combo came pretty naturally...one of my faves: pretty in pink, certainly celery and so saffron, with touches of old olive and cameo coral.
Cut and embossed three one inch squares with Nestabilities dies, stamp the little flower and color with Stampin' Up markers, then layer on So Saffron. The "butterfly" was stamped and colored first, then cut and embossed with a circle die. So really, do whatever works for you. You can cut/emboss first or stamp first when using the dies. I added a bit of glow around the butterfly with So Saffron ink and an aquapainter. Layer the three tiles on a pretty in pink strip, and add a row of piercing. You have to add the ribbon BEFORE the butterfly circle. Punch a hole and thread the ribbon up through. THEN, you can adhere the butterfly circle to the strip. THEN pull the ribbon tight and tie your bow. The tiny butterflies are an old punch I had sitting around. It looks like it might have been a Michael's dollar punch. After punching, I covered each butterfly with Crystal Effects. Let it dry, and adhere to card.
Thanks Jen, for another great sketch! It was really fun and easy.

Great sketch, I love your card and the colors are so springy! I wish I could work in my garden, except it's covered with the 6 inches of snow we got on Monday! It's melting quickly though so it won't be long!
