That's right, baby! I've got blog candy today. See that cutie over on my card, sitting on the dock fishing? He could be yours! More specifically, the entire Look What I Caught stamp set from Storage Units, Ink & More could be yours. Check out the entire stamp set here, after you enter the drawing of course.
Now, about the card. I stamped the boy/dock/fishing pole (all one big stamp) and colored with Copic markers. I added in a few extra waves with my markers. The cattails, bait and hat were stamped and colored on scrap card stock, then cut out and glued on the card. I glued them flat, but it still gives a little bit of dimension in real life. The scallops on the right are one inch circles glued part way under the next layer, with a brad in each center.
What's In It?
Stamps: Look What I Caught (SU Ink)
Paper: chocolate chip, celery and saffron prints (Stampin' Up!); Boho Chic (Making Memories); white (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: graphite black (Brilliance); Jumbo Java (VersaMagic)
Accessories: Copic markers; 1/2" circle and photo corner punches (SU!); antique brads (Lasting Impressions)
Now, how do you win?
Leave a comment right here on my blog. Any old comment will do, but if you need a question, how about this: what is you favorite stamping technique? I rarely remember to do it, but I like when images are cut out of the box, sort of like the cattails and hat above.
The Fine Print:
Be sure I can get hold of you. If I choose a winner with no email address/means of contact, I'll choose another winner. I'll pick a random commenter to win after midnight (Eastern) Thursday night and let you all know by Friday morning.
Now, head on over to Lauren's blog, cause she has candy too!

My favorite is using the embossing folders on my new cuttlebug. Trouble is, they're so PRECIOUS that I can't just put them on a card! That would be so WRONG!! So I just sit and look at them and go "Ahhhhh. Ohhhhh" and smile a lot.

The stamp reminds me of vacations, fishing off the dock at Green Lake, WI. One summer, my dad was laid off from work and our family spent three months living in a garage with a nearby outhouse; returning home in August. That was the best vacation ever.

This little guy is so cute! I do a lot of paper piecing and often end up modifying stamps to make new designs. I've mostly used animals or objects, and am getting into People stamps. So this set would be great.

Love the Stamp!! It's so so cute.
I would say the technique I get most comment about when I do it is using my ink pad and a blender marker. It's such an easy way to get a neat watercolor affect if you can't watercolor very well like me. It's so easy to shade the card using the technique. It's been around a while but it's a trusty "WOW" factor for me.
Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy! I love stamping on glossy paper with Versamark and using the brayer over top. You can get some really cool effects this way.
